It’s that time of the year again when all of us Americans need to honor our fellow military veterans who lost their lives to keep us safe. It’s the day to honor those who stay awake all night guarding the border, so that we get to sleep in peace.
They stay away from their wives and children all year, just to ensure that we don’t get separated from them. November 11th, it was this very day when the World War I formally came to an end at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.
The day is also celebrated as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in some other countries. It was this very day, when the armistice was signed. An armistice is referred to a situation where all the parties involved in a war, come upon a mutual agreement to stop fighting.
